Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered into a search tool is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its result. We do not keep a separate log of the terms entered through those boxes.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained so we can respond and maintain the related correspondence. It stays within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics logs can receive technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Browser type and version
- Device category and operating system
- IP address assigned to the device
- Pages viewed and approximate visit duration
- Referring website, when supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help aggregate traffic patterns, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers may assist with that measurement. A browser can block cookies, though some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Route a submitted search to the selected partner service
- Maintain site availability and page performance
- Find and correct technical faults
- Measure which material visitors use
- Support advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
No database of personal criminal records is maintained, compiled, or sold here. The published material explains where St. Charles County records are held, including County Police, Corrections, the 11th Judicial Circuit, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information entered into those tools. Review the provider’s terms before submitting a query because this policy does not control that separate processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links can lead to county offices, Missouri courts, state agencies, legal resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy policy controls that visit. Read it before supplying personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not control that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may nevertheless be handled by:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Advertising networks that serve content on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for information under our control. No internet system can guarantee perfect security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Missouri’s Sunshine Law, including RSMo §610.023, governs requests to public bodies, while RSMo §43.500 addresses the state criminal-history repository. Those laws do not turn this private site into a public records custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data under our control
- Ask what personal information is held about them
- Request deletion where no legal need requires retention
- Use available controls to limit certain processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with its new effective date.
